Terms of service

These terms are an agreement between you and [PLACEHOLDER: legal entity name] ("Shop My Stay", "we", "us"), [PLACEHOLDER: mailing address]. They cover your use of the Shop My Stay website, host portal, QR stickers and guest pages. By creating an account, joining the waitlist or using the service, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy.

The service

Shop My Stay gives vacation rental hosts QR stickers and guest pages with how-to guides for the appliances and items in their rental, along with optional extras such as review guides, product links and an AI guest agent on some plans. Features may change as we improve the service.

Your account

• You need to be at least 18 and able to enter into a contract to create an account.
• Keep your login details safe. You're responsible for activity on your account.
• Give us accurate information, including your shipping address, and keep it up to date.

Plans, payment and cancellation

Paid plans are billed through Stripe. Unless the plan says otherwise, plans renew monthly until you cancel. You can cancel from Manage billing in your portal, and cancellation stops future renewals. Prices and what each plan includes are shown before you pay. Refunds: [PLACEHOLDER: refund policy].

The waitlist is free and doesn't commit you to buy anything.

Stickers, kits and guest pages

• Stickers and kits are for use at the properties you add to your account.
• You choose what each sticker shows. Check that guides, notes and links are accurate and safe for your property, especially for appliances that can cause injury or damage if misused.
• How-to videos and guides are provided for convenience. They don't replace the manufacturer's instructions, and we don't guarantee that a video matches your exact model.

Your content

You own the content you add, such as property details, notes, restaurant picks and links. You give us permission to store, display and process it to run the service, including showing it to guests who scan your stickers. Don't add anything that's unlawful, misleading, infringing or harmful, or that you don't have the right to share.

Affiliate and third-party links

Guest pages may include product and affiliate links, and links to other sites such as video platforms and stores. We don't control those sites and aren't responsible for their content, products or policies. Shop My Stay or the host may earn a commission from some links.

Acceptable use

Don't misuse the service: no attempts to break or bypass security, scrape or overload the service, access other hosts' data, or use Shop My Stay to send spam or deceive guests. We may suspend or close accounts that do.

Availability and changes

We work to keep Shop My Stay running smoothly, but the service is provided "as is" and may sometimes be unavailable. We may update these terms. If we make significant changes we'll update the date above and let account holders know.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Shop My Stay isn't liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost bookings, lost profits or guest disputes, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law.

Ending your account

You can stop using Shop My Stay and cancel your plan at any time. We may suspend or end access if you break these terms. Sections that by their nature should survive (such as ownership, liability and governing law) continue after your account ends.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of [PLACEHOLDER: governing state], without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
